Reparing Links

I have a job folder that contains an illustrator document and then a subfolder with all of the collected images. When this folder location moves from server to server the path to the linked images is no longer valid and needs to be relinked.

Scripting this has become a problem as the placedItems object for any broken link does not come up with a valid name to repair the connection, basically i can get ahold of the objects that need to be relinked via placedItems however none of them have a index that I can grab on to to repair the link (placedItem.name,.file, etc..)

Through the illustrator UI i can double click on the broken link in the links pallet and while all the information is null - there is always a reference to the original links name.

Any advice on how to identify my placedItem object to repair the file obj and reestablish the link?
